Women Development Cell (WDC)

The Women Development Cell (WDC) is dedicated to promoting gender equality, empowerment, and the overall well-being of women within the institution. It undertakes initiatives that create awareness on women’s rights, safety, health, and leadership, while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment in alignment with NAAC quality benchmarks and institutional values.

Objectives

  • To promote gender equality and women empowerment within the campus
  • To create awareness about women’s rights, safety, and legal provisions
  • To organize workshops, seminars, and programmes on gender sensitization
  • To support the personal, academic, and professional development of women students and staff
  • To provide a platform for addressing issues related to women’s welfare and well-being
  • To collaborate with other committees such as ICC for ensuring a safe environment
  • To encourage leadership, confidence, and participation among women students
  • To promote health, hygiene, and well-being initiatives for women
  • To maintain documentation of activities for quality assurance and accreditation
  • To contribute to an inclusive, equitable, and gender-sensitive institutional environment
