Purchasing Committee (PC)

The Purchasing Committee (PC) is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods, equipment, and services required for the effective functioning of the institution. It ensures that all purchases are carried out in a transparent, cost-effective, and need-based manner in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory norms, supporting quality enhancement and efficient resource management in alignment with NAAC standards.

  • To ensure transparent, fair, and systematic procurement processes
  • To assess and approve requirements based on institutional needs and priorities
  • To ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal utilization of financial resources
  • To follow established purchase procedures, including quotations, tenders, and approvals
  • To ensure compliance with institutional policies and statutory regulations
  • To maintain quality standards in procurement of goods and services
  • To coordinate with departments for timely procurement and supply of resources
  • To maintain proper records and documentation of all procurement activities
  • To support infrastructure development and academic requirements through effective purchasing
  • To contribute to financial accountability, audit readiness, and quality assurance
