Prevention of Ragging Committee (PRC)

The Prevention of Ragging Committee (PRC) is constituted in accordance with UGC Anti-Ragging Regulations to ensure a safe, secure, and ragging-free campus environment. The committee undertakes preventive, monitoring, and disciplinary measures to eliminate ragging in all forms, while promoting a culture of mutual respect, dignity, and inclusiveness in alignment with NAAC quality standards.

Objectives

  • To prevent and prohibit ragging in all forms within the campus and associated premises
  • To create awareness about anti-ragging regulations and the consequences of violations
  • To ensure strict implementation of UGC guidelines and institutional policies on ragging
  • To monitor campus activities and identify potential risks related to ragging
  • To provide a mechanism for reporting incidents and ensuring prompt action
  • To ensure confidentiality and protection of complainants and victims
  • To take appropriate disciplinary action against those found guilty of ragging
  • To promote a culture of respect, inclusiveness, and responsible student behavior
  • To coordinate with hostel authorities, faculty, and student bodies for prevention efforts
  • To maintain proper records and documentation for compliance, audit, and accreditation
