Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH)

The Prevention of Sexual Harassment initiative is implemented in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act). It aims to create a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive campus environment by preventing incidents of sexual harassment and ensuring effective redressal mechanisms, in alignment with NAAC quality standards and institutional values.

Objectives

  • To prevent and prohibit sexual harassment within the campus and institutional premises
  • To create awareness about gender sensitivity, equality, and POSH regulations
  • To provide a safe and accessible mechanism for reporting complaints
  • To ensure timely, fair, and impartial redressal of complaints
  • To promote a culture of respect, dignity, and inclusiveness
  • To organize sensitization programmes, workshops, and awareness campaigns
  • To ensure confidentiality and protection of complainants
  • To encourage a gender-just and safe learning and working environment
  • To maintain proper records and documentation for compliance and accreditation
  • To ensure adherence to statutory requirements and institutional policies
