Institution Innovation Cell (IIC)

The Institution Innovation Cell (IIC) is established to promote a culture of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students and faculty, in line with national initiatives such as the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC). It facilitates ideation, incubation, and startup-oriented activities, fostering an ecosystem that supports innovative thinking and problem-solving in alignment with NAAC quality benchmarks.

Objectives

  • To promote innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial mindset among students and faculty
  • To organize ideation sessions, hackathons, workshops, and innovation-related programmes
  • To support development of innovative projects, prototypes, and startups
  • To facilitate incubation and mentoring for student-led initiatives
  • To create awareness about entrepreneurship, startup ecosystem, and funding opportunities
  • To collaborate with industries, incubators, and innovation agencies
  • To promote interdisciplinary innovation and problem-solving approaches
  • To support intellectual property rights (IPR), patents, and technology transfer initiatives
  • To document innovation activities, outcomes, and achievements for accreditation
  • To contribute to institutional development and knowledge economy in alignment with NAAC criteria
