Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is constituted in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act). The committee is responsible for preventing, prohibiting, and redressing complaints of sexual harassment, ensuring a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive campus environment in alignment with NAAC quality standards and institutional values.

Objectives

  • To prevent and prohibit sexual harassment within the campus and institutional premises
  • To create awareness about gender sensitivity, equality, and POSH regulations
  • To provide a safe and confidential mechanism for filing complaints
  • To ensure timely, fair, and impartial inquiry into complaints
  • To recommend appropriate actions in accordance with legal and institutional norms
  • To ensure protection against victimization and maintain confidentiality
  • To promote a culture of respect, dignity, and inclusiveness
  • To organize workshops, awareness programmes, and sensitization sessions
  • To maintain proper documentation of cases and actions taken
  • To ensure compliance with statutory requirements and contribute to institutional quality assurance
