Colossus 10.0 Celebrated at DBC Panjim

QUICK BITE - The 10th edition of the annual program "Colossus 10.0" by the Department of Computer Applications of Don Bosco College was held on 5th and 6th January 2023. The two day IT festival witnessed participants from 8 colleges all over Goa.

The Department of Computer Applications of Don Bosco College organized the 10th Edition of their IT Festival “Colossus 10.0” on the 5th and 6th of January 2023. 8 BCA/Computer Science Colleges from all over Goa participated in the 2 day IT festival.


The inaugural function was attended by the Chief Guest Mr Pranav Chimulkar, the Director of Don Bosco College Rev. Fr Joaquim Lobo, the Principal Dr Cedric Silveira, the Department Coordinator Mr Rohan Kerkar and the Faculty Incharge of the event Mr Shantanu Arlekar.


Mr Pranav Chimulkar, a content marketing professional and alumni of NIT Jamshedpur was the Chief guest of the Event. He spoke about how IT events take him back to his college days and how it feels different at being invited as a Guest than being on the organizing side as a student.


Colossus had about 14 events over 2 days which included Technical Debates, Mock Interviews, Debugging, Paper Presentations, Quiz, PC building and many more events which tested every aspect of their IT skills. Over a hundred students and volunteers were a part of the event. The IT festival also had a gaming event called “The Colosseum” which had games like NFS Most wanted, CSGO, FIFA and COD.


Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre were declared the overall winners. Fr. Agnel College of Arts and Commerce were declared as the runners up.
