On October 9th and 10th, 2024, Don Bosco College, Panjim, hosted COSMOCRAT 10.0, the much-anticipated 10th edition of the college’s annual business event. Organized by the BBA Department, this national-level competition drew participants from 10 prestigious colleges and provided an engaging platform for students to demonstrate their skills in business management, leadership, and strategy.
On October 9th, 2024, COSMOCRAT 10.0 kicked off with Business Talks under the theme Susegado Success Stories. This session was moderated by Barbara Lornie and featured esteemed speakers: Andrea Maganlal (Magsons Group), Kedar Borkar (Soul Travelling), Desmond Nazareth (Agave India), and Lyan Fernandes (D’Ziners). Andrea Maganlal shared her journey of resilience and adaptability in steering Magsons Group through challenges, urging the audience to "never let anything hold you back." Kedar Borkar highlighted the transformation of Goan tourism by promoting local culture, while Desmond Nazareth emphasized authenticity and sustainable practices in building Agave India. Lyan Fernandes discussed the craftsmanship and customization that underpin D’Ziners, encouraging participants to "craft one stitch at a time." Each speaker echoed the importance of USPs, community engagement, and adaptability for business success in today’s world.


On October 10th, 2024, COSMOCRAT 10.0 featured its main competitive events. The event commenced with a grand inaugural ceremony attended by dignitaries, including Chief Guest Mr. Dexter Pereira (Owner of JJMS), Director Rev. Father Joaquim Lobo, Principal Dr. Cedric Silvera, and Faculty In-charge Asst. Prof. Valerie Carvalho. The dignitaries were escorted to the dais by student in-charges Mr. Mohit Murgaonkar and Ms. Jane Deodita Fernandes.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Dexter Pereira, paid tribute to the late Ratan Tata, emphasizing the importance of business events like COSMOCRAT in shaping young minds to tackle real-world challenges. Dr. Cedric Silvera provided an overview of COSMOCRAT’s ten-year journey, celebrating its 10th edition on the 10th of the 10th month with 10 participating teams.
The day featured six key sub-events:
• Venture Vision (Entrepreneurship)
• Market Horizon (Marketing)
• Capital Illusion (Finance)
• Leaders Creed (Best Manager)
• Resource Resonance (Human Resources)
• Office Politics (Teamwork)
Each competition consisted of four intense rounds, with one round dedicated to stress testing participants under high-pressure situations, where they had to tackle challenging business scenarios. The Office Politics event stood out with its unique rounds: the Stress Breaker, a light-hearted re-enactment of humorous Indian advertisements, and the Stress Maker, which tested participants' ability to handle stress as a cohesive team.


The Cosmocrat 10.0 trophies were unveiled, and the Chief Guest officially declared the event open. As the competitions concluded, a minute of silence was observed in honour of the legendary Ratan Tata.
The event concluded with the Valedictory Ceremony, where Team Tokyo Tycoons from SES Sridora Caculo College were announced as the Overall Runners-Up, while Team Udaipur Unicorns from St. Xavier's College were crowned the Winners of COSMOCRAT 10.0.
The closing address was delivered by Faculty In-charge Assistant Professor Valerie Carvalho, who thanked the participants, faculty, and organizing committee for their dedication and support, marking the end of a successful and enlightening event.


COSMOCRAT 10.0 lived up to its reputation of redefining tomorrow, providing a brilliant display of managerial talent and fostering a spirit of collaboration, innovation, and leadership among the participants.
