The Department of BBA at Don Bosco College organised an informative session for its BBA students on 6 March 2026 to introduce them to Goa’s Startup Policy 2025 and the various financial incentives available to aspiring entrepreneurs. The session was conducted by Shri Uddhav Vaze, Verification Officer at the Goa Startup Mission.
During the session, Shri Vaze provided a comprehensive overview of the Goa Startup Policy 2025, highlighting the twelve schemes introduced to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the state. He explained how these schemes are designed to support local innovators, encourage the establishment of new ventures, and provide financial assistance to startups at different stages of development. The speaker also guided students through the process of registering a startup under the Goa Startup Mission, outlining the eligibility criteria, documentation requirements, and the steps involved in availing the benefits offered by the policy. His explanations helped students gain clarity in an area that is often filled with complex and scattered information.
The Goa Startup Policy 2025, an initiative of the Government of Goa, aims to strengthen the state’s startup ecosystem by encouraging innovation and entrepreneurial activity. The policy envisions transforming Goa into the “Creative Capital of the Country” and a leading startup destination by 2028. It seeks to promote innovation-driven enterprises, support new business ventures, and generate employment opportunities for the local population. The policy also emphasises collaboration with incubators, investors, educational institutions, and industry bodies in order to build a supportive and sustainable startup ecosystem within the state.
The session proved to be highly beneficial for the BBA students, providing them with valuable insights into government support mechanisms for startups and encouraging them to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path.
