Cosmocrat 12.0, the two-day national management event organised by the Department of Business Administration, Don Bosco College, unfolded on 30 September and 1 October 2026, combining reflective conversation with spirited competition and drawing students and business professionals into a shared exchange on leadership and entrepreneurship.
The first day, titled Business Talks, opened with a welcome address by Rev. Fr. Kinley D'Cruz, who traced the event's growth from its intercollegiate origins to its present standing as a national platform. Event head Velroid Fernandes then expanded on the theme of this year's edition. Business Talks featured a panel discussion in which entrepreneurs from varied fields reflected on the realities of building and sustaining a business.
Pranav Dhuri, whose family owns Tatos and who founded Petisco, spoke of growing up within a family enterprise and of his wish to carve out an identity of his own, the impulse that gave rise to Petisco. Nikhil Tavora of Walkover recalled watching his mother build the company from the ground up. He described its move into the online market and his role in guiding that shift while preserving its distinct character, stressing the need to stay open to change.
Dr Raj Vaidya, chief pharmacist of Hindu Pharmacy, underscored trust as the cornerstone of his profession. He spoke of the prescription as a safeguard and of the duty to decline service when one is absent. Hansel Vaz, founder of Cazulo Premium Feni, shared his journey as a self-funded entrepreneur. He spoke of Feni as inseparable from Goan culture and of his aim to present it as a memorable experience and a mark of the state's identity.
The session was moderated by Mr Alan D’Souza, business consultant, educator and director of Leadership Studio, and concluded with an interactive round in which audience members put their questions to the speakers.
The second day featured the inter-collegiate competition and began with Chief Guest Vibhav Joshi, entrepreneur and industrialist, reminding students that in today's fiercely competitive climate a fraction of a second can decide an outcome, and being merely “good” is no longer enough: one must strive to be the best.
Principal Prof. Teotone spoke on the relevance of the theme, urging young people to look beyond local horizons and think globally. The day was devoted to competitive events designed to let students apply their knowledge, creativity, leadership and decision-making to real-world business situations. Ten teams contested in events that centred around Human Resource Management, Finance Management, Marketing Management, Entrepreneurship, Best Manager and Teamwork.
KLE College of Business Administration, Belagavi, emerged as overall winners, with KLE College of Business Administration, Hubli, taking the runners-up position.
