Ms Andrea Magdalene D’Souza is a dedicated academician and researcher with over six years of experience in higher education. She secured the second rank in the Master of Arts in Psychology programme at Goa University and qualified for the State Eligibility Test (SET). Before joining Don Bosco College, she taught postgraduate students at St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa.

Her areas of expertise include Psychopathology, Social Psychology, and Positive Psychology. Her teaching approach is guided by Bloom’s Taxonomy and incorporates digital tools such as artificial intelligence, Mentimeter, and Google Classroom to create an interactive and future-ready learning environment.

An active contributor to psychological research, Ms D’Souza has published peer-reviewed studies on gratitude interventions, emotional maturity, and AI-assisted academic support. She has presented her scholarly work at several academic forums, including the 7th APSPA International Conference, and has served as a Research Assistant for an international initiative. Her research expertise is further strengthened by her proficiency in SPSS statistical analysis.

Beyond the classroom, she has conducted sessions on drug abuse and emotional maturity and has contributed to community outreach through aptitude testing, providing students with valuable career and psychological insights. As a committed mentor, she has supported student development through dissertation guidance and personal counselling.

A firm believer in holistic education, Ms D’Souza serves as the Convenor of Club Cadenza, the college’s music club, where she organises intercollegiate and intracollegiate music events. She is also a member of the Campus Ministry Cell, contributing to the spiritual growth and development of students.
