Dr. Ajith Gopi is an academician and physical education professional currently serving as Assistant Professor in Physical Education and B.P.Ed. Programme In-charge at Don Bosco College, Panjim. He holds a Ph.D. from SRTM University, Nanded, and has qualified for the UGC-NET and Maharashtra SET. He brings over a decade of teaching experience to his role.

His research interests focus on movement development among school-going children and Quality Physical Education. His scholarly contributions include publications on physical literacy, non-verbal communication in physical education, and comparative analyses of athletic performance. His recent certifications from the International Physical Literacy Association (IPLA) further reflect his commitment to advancing physical literacy frameworks and practices.

Dr. Gopi has also made significant contributions to curriculum development as a member of the Goa University Board of Studies in Physical Education and Sports. In this capacity, he contributed to the revision of the B.P.Ed. syllabus and the introduction of the M.P.Ed. curriculum. His ongoing research explores how effective physical education practices and movement-based interventions can enhance learning outcomes and support the holistic development of children. Through his academic, research, and curricular contributions, he continues to advocate for quality physical education in the region.
