Mr. Rohan R. Kerkar is a dedicated academician serving in the BCA Department at Don Bosco College since 2012. He holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from Goa University and currently serves as the Department Coordinator, contributing to academic planning, curriculum delivery, and student mentorship. With a strong foundation in Computer Science, his interests include Green Computing, Multimedia Technologies, Graphic Designing, Object-Oriented Programming, and emerging areas in Artificial Intelligence.
He is actively engaged in research and has presented and published papers at state, national, and international levels. His work has been featured in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (Scopus Indexed) at the 3rd International Conference on Advances in Information Communication Technology & Computing (AICTC-2021), along with contributions to IEEE conferences and national seminars. He has also enhanced his professional expertise through Faculty Development Programmes, including training in AI tools, research methodology, and statistical analysis using SPSS at institutions such as NIT Warangal.
In addition, he has served as a Counsellor for Indira Gandhi National Open University since 2016, guiding learners across computer science disciplines. He has conducted IT awareness sessions in higher secondary schools across Goa, promoting digital literacy among students. Through his academic leadership, research engagement, and commitment to teaching, he continues to contribute to academic excellence and holistic student development.
