Department of Physical Education

Welcome to the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPED) program, where we focus on the science, practice, and promotion of physical fitness, sports, and overall well-being. The program is designed to develop a strong foundation in physical education, sports training, health sciences, and pedagogy, while fostering discipline, leadership, and teamwork. Students engage in both theoretical learning and rigorous practical training across a variety of sports and fitness activities.

Aligned with NEP 2020, the curriculum integrates experiential learning, coaching practice, and opportunities for participation in intercollegiate, state, and national sporting events. Emphasis is placed on skill development, fitness assessment, and the application of scientific principles to enhance performance and health. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in sports coaching, physical education teaching, fitness training, sports management, and allied fields that promote active and healthy lifestyles.

Infrastructure

  • Our sporting infrastructure includes Football, Cricket, and Handball grounds as well as Volleyball, Kabaddi and Tennis courts.
  • Indoor basketball and Futsal courts along with provisions for games like Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis and Badminton as well as a Snooker/ Billiards Pool Table
  • A Multi-purpose hall which is used for aerobics, yoga etc to calm the mind and body.
  • We have a well-equipped gym to help you aspire towards physical well-being.
  • Administrative Building that houses the Principal Office, Administrative office, accounts department, IT Labs, Library & AV Hall
  • Physical Education Department Building that houses multimedia classrooms, boys & girls changing rooms, sports equipment store rooms
  • IT Lab with the latest hardware and software with dedicated Leased Line Internet connection.
  • A state of the art Audio Visual Hall for seminars, workshops and meetings that can accommodate 100 seats with dedicated audio and sound equipment
  • An events hall with a seating capacity of 300 with dedicated audio and sound equipment
