As part of the 8th edition of COSMOCRAT, an annual Management event organised by the BBA department, Don Bosco College, Panaji, ‘Business Talks 2023' was held on February 3, 2023. The theme was, ‘Embracing Change and Technology in Business and Management'. A panel discussion took place, with four panellists, namely Mr Blaise Costabir: a first-generation entrepreneur, as well as founder and GM of GMI Zarhak, Mr Pavan Agni: founder and proprietor of Buy Spex, dealing primarily with electronic goods, Ms Seeya Dalvi: a Human Resources Specialist and CEO and Co-Founder of Creative HR Solutions, Mr D S Prashant: a social entrepreneur and CEO of the FiiRE and Mrs Rina Barreto Shankar: a communication coach and Certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. The Moderator for the event was Alisha Souza, Asst. Prof of Fr Agnel College of Arts and Commerce.


The speakers put forth their perspectives and advice based on the theme of the event. They enlightened the audience by sharing their experiences in their own field and how technology can be either a boon or a bane depending on how it is used. After each of the panellists spoke, the moderator kick started the question and answer round, by asking each of the panellists a main question along with a follow up question. Then the moderator, opened the question and answer segment to the students present. A few students asked questions regarding the funding of the FiiRE incubator, the challenges that the speakers may have faced during the COVID, a few mistakes the speakers may have made in their career and how did they deal with them. The Moderator closed the question and answer round, by asking a final question open to any of the speakers present. ‘Business Talks 2023' came to a successful end and left the students with new insights.
