Embracing Values and Tradition: Inaugural Mass for New Students

QUICK BITE -

The first year students of Don Bosco College, who were recently admitted to the BBA, BCA, and BAMC programmes received a warm welcome on July 6, 2024, with a special Inaugural Mass organized by the Life Skills Committee. The ceremony bore special significance as the College celebrated the feast of St Dominic Savio the same day.
The officiant, Fr Jason, stressed the importance of inner joy and humility, urging the congregation to find happiness within themselves. Fr Jason also highlighted the altruism, courage and perseverance of Don Bosco, encouraging the students to help their classmates whenever possible, especially as they begin their journey at this institute. Fr Jason then delved into the inspiring life of St Dominic Savio. He described Dominic as a remarkable
young man who, from a young age, devoted himself to God with unwavering faith. He followed the teachings of his mentor, St John Bosco, striving to find holiness in the ordinary actions and duties of daily life while serving others with joy.
The Inaugural Mass fostered a sense of community among the students while serving as a reminder of the values fervently espoused by Don Bosco College.
