Christmas Joy and Celebrations Light up the College

QUICK BITE - Christmas competitions for the students to kick-off the Christmas season.

The Cultural Committee of Don Bosco College organized a range of Christmas competitions for the students to kick-off the Christmas season on December 21, 2021. The events included an eco-friendly star and wreath- making competition where students from every stream decorated their classes and put their creativity on display by making plastic-free wreaths and stars. However, this was not all they had to work on. The artistic competitions merged with creativity with every class putting up a live crib to impress the judges who moved from one class to the next. They sang and danced to the tunes of Christmas carols and narrated the journey of the three Kings to meet baby Jesus.

The judges for the competition were Miss Flossy Fernandes and Miss Sonia Fernandes. In the star-making competition, it was the efforts of the students of FY BBA T&T that brought them laurels with the BSW department and the FY BAMC bagging the second and third place respectively.
The Social Work department emerged on top in the wreath-making competition with SY BBA T&T and SY BBA bagging the runners up prizes. For the overall, live crib and carol singing, the extremely creative efforts of the students of TY BAMC resulted in their predicted victory. The TY BBA T&T and SY BCA students also put up a good show and followed close behind grabbing the next two prizes respectively. Principal of the college, Dr Cedric Silveira, handed over the prizes to the winners to the sound of joyous cheering before everyone dispersed for the holidays.
