Students spread the Christmas cheer among the Young and Old

QUICK BITE -

To share the spirit of Christmas this season, the students of Don Bosco College, Panjim, united with the NSS volunteers of the college to extend feelings of joy and giving to those around.
The students and faculty divided themselves into two groups and dispersed from campus at 9.30am on Dec 20, 2021. One group visited homes for the aged and children across the Saligao – Thivim – Moira – Aldona route while the other travelled through St. Cruz – Divar and Old Goa. The places visited were Mae de Deus (Men's and Women's) Home in Saligao, ASRO Children's Home, Thivim, Reach Out Old Age Home, Moira, OWL House in Aldona along with Bethesda Home in St. Cruz, John of God, Old Goa and Lar Santa Margarida in Divar.
Apart from the generous contributions of the students and faculty of the college, the visits were packed with carols, games, interactions and more to brighten up the lives of those around. The spirit of giving was kept alive throughout the day with the students battling the heat to move from one place to the next and bringing high levels of enthusiasm when interacting with the young and the old alike.
Sakshi Kittur of FY BBA rightly put it, “It was an overwhelming but great day. I'm glad I got to be a part of it.” All in all, it was a fruitful day that brought a sense of fulfilment and happiness to those involved.
