The program covers the study of the constituents of mass media such as newspapers, magazines, cinema films, radio, television, etc. which is used to convey the information to the audience.
The primary aim is to impart to eligible candidates a strong foundation in news media practices across different media platforms, an advanced understanding of news media and their role in the society and relevant media education by laying a strong foundation in the study of arts.

  • An extensive practical-based curriculum ensures unrestricted learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom.
  • Providing on-campus opportunities of experimentation with a fully equipped audio-visual studio.
  • Upscaling practical knowledge by joining the production team of Campus Notes 2.0 - a YouTube channel dedicated to covering on-campus activities. Producing scripts and planning short films and documentaries under the expert guidance of in-house faculty.
  • Blending together curricular and extra-curricular knowledge in the creation of the quarterly college newsletter.
  • Developing on-field basics of mass communication through internships in top companies and news organisations.
  • Industry exposure through field visits to media houses, the printing press, radio stations and a dedicated media tour outside Goa to understand the functioning of in different spaces.
  • Applicants must register for the program by filling up the online application and providing necessary information in the form of data, documents and photographs.
  • On successful verification of the online application a entrance exam and/or video/telephonic/physical interview will be scheduled and conducted subject to Govt notifications.
  • Based on the interview & HSSC result the applicant will be short listed and intimated of the same.
  • A physical verification of documents will be carried out for which guidelines will be communicated to the applicant accordingly.
  • Student candidacy will be confirmed on full payment of Academic Fee.
  • Applicants successfully completing their HSSC or +2 equivalent certificate recognized by Goa University with over 40% marks are eligible for the program.
  • Entrance exam and/or interview with the applicant.
