With over three decades of distinguished service in higher education, Dr. Teotone Inas M. Vaz is an accomplished academic leader, researcher, and institution builder, known for strengthening academic quality, research culture, and governance excellence.
As the Principal of Don Bosco College, Prof. Vaz bringing to the institution a distinguished blend of academic depth, administrative acumen, and visionary leadership. He assumed office with a strong mandate to further enhance academic quality, institutional credibility, and multidisciplinary growth.
Prior to his current role, Prof. Vaz provided effective leadership as Principal of GVM’s G.G.P.R. College of Commerce and Economics, where he contributed significantly to strengthening quality standards and academic governance. Earlier in his career, he devoted over three decades to St. Xavier’s College, earning wide respect for his contributions to teaching, research, and institutional development.
A committed academician and researcher, Prof. Vaz has published extensively in reputed Scopus-indexed, Web of Science, and UGC-CARE–listed journals. He continues to play an active role in shaping higher education policy and practice through his association with various academic bodies of Goa University and professional institutions.
Rooted in the values of Don Bosco Institutions, Prof. Vaz’s leadership places strong emphasis on the holistic formation of youth, integrating academic excellence with ethical grounding, innovation, and skill development—preparing students to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving world.

• Academic Career spanning 30+ years, beginning in 1994, with sustained contributions to teaching, research, administration, and student mentoring.
• Served as Principal & Professor at leading higher education institutions in Goa, including his immediate past role as Principal of G.V.M.’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce & Economics, Farmagudi.
• Served as a senior departmental faculty and was appointed Head of the Department of Chemistry at St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa

• The first candidate in Goa to qualify SET in Inorganic Chemistry.
