The brand new semester opened up with the much awaited inter-class and inter-department football tournament on March 17, 2022. The newly inaugurated astro turf grounds on the campus were surrounded by electric chants and excitement as the tournament, an initiative of the Health and Fitness Club of the college, took place. The 5 aside football tournament, which was highly anticipated by the students since the start of the year, started with the students arriving at the college in their colourful jerseys and high spirits. Energetic supporters and spectators gathered around the football courts to cheer for their teams, armed with colourful posters.

In the men's category the battle was waged between different classes while for the women's category, the matches were played between departments. Simultaneous matches were conducted on adjacent courts and the spectators were entralled by them all. The matches went on from 9:30 am till the afternoon. 18 matches were played back-to-back and the excitement of the players and supporters grew as the nerve wrecking matches progressed to the final rounds.

The girls battled as one department and showed off their skills as they played skilfully while everyone cheered at the amazing goals each team scored. The teachers of the departments played along with the students and it was an amazing experience, not only for the players but also for the spectators, to see this unique bond between the players and teachers.

The students of TY BCA emerged victorious in the men's finals against FY BBA. The women's trophy was clenched by the Department of BBA. Hemington Fernandes and Avilla Rato were awarded the best player titles in the men's and women's category respectively. Shane Marquis and Shania Silveira received the best goalkeeper awards for their excellent performance.

During the valedictory function, students received their prizes at the hands of the director of the institute, Fr. Joaquim Lobo. He thanked everyone for participating and also congratulated the Health and Fitness Club along with the Sports Committee for their excellent and meticulous organisation. He spoke about how great a joy it was to receive participation from such enthusiastic and eager players and supporters. The football tournament was one of the many games played as a part of the Interclass Champions League that the students of Don Bosco College, Panjim have been battling for all year round.
