Don Bosco College witnessed another wave of talent spread over a span of five days. After celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of India, the College dived into a three day fun week, followed by ‘Synthesis 2022'. The theme for Synthesis 2022 was Euphoric Spangle. The fun began from the 16th to 18th of August 2022, with a themed attire for each of these days. Traditional day was the theme for day one followed by Pyjama Party and Retro Dazzle. Winners were declared at Synthesis 2022 for each day.
Student canteens during fun week not only greatly catered to everyone's appetite but also was a grand success in raising funds for ‘Synthesis 2022'. Each department of the college participated. The class with the highest amount collected, won a joker card to double their points at Synthesis.


Synthesis is an inter-class competition held yearly at Don Bosco College, Panjim. With a series of on stage and off stage events spread over two days, it creates an ocean of opportunities for the students. The College Council in coordination with the College Cultural Committee organised this extravagant event.
Synthesis 2022 was held on 19th and 20th August. The event opened with the ceremonious lighting of the lamp at the hands of Director of the College Rev Fr Joaquim Lobo, Staff Cultural Committee Head Archie Fernandes, Staff Secretary Shantanu Arlekar, General Secretary of Student Council Vishal Jha and Cultural Secretary Mrunalini Pai. Rev Fr Joaquim Lobo, encouraged all the students to make the most of such events which would help each one measure their individual aptitude. Cultural Secretary, Mrunalini Pai welcomed the dignitaries, teachers, and all the students. Event Incharge Archie Fernandes expressed immense gratitude in the vote of thanks for having had the opportunity to organise Synthesis after a span of almost 2 years. He also mentioned that participation in such events is of utmost importance and requested all to have a learning and fun filled experience at the event.


Sport events such as Tussle (tug of war) and Shrewd Sprint(Revamped game of X O) , brought out the sportsmanship of the students. Student's artistic skills were seen through off stage events like T-shirt painting, face painting and flag designing competitions.On stage events like Stress Interviews, group dance, solo singing were indeed marvellous performances.
The prime attraction of the entire event was the fashion show. The theme for the same was Monarchs of Gen-Z. The showstoppers were the contestants for the titles Mr and Ms Synthesis 2022. Students displayed exquisite costumes, each having its own uniqueness.
The final event of the evening was the legendary Mr and Ms Synthesis, which consisted of the Q & A round, and the talent round. Two candidates from each class participated, the winners for which were Mr Azhan Shaikh & Miss Mrunalini Pai of TYBA Mass Communication.


The Third Year students of Business Administration (BBA) won the trophy for Synthesis 2022 and the first runner up was bagged by the Third Year BA Mass Communication and second runner up was secured by the students of the Second Year Bachelors in Physical Education.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks, delivered by the Cultural Secretary Mrunalini Pai. Followed by the prize distribution and group photographs of the winning teams. The enthusiastic participation by all the students, coupled with the zeal and hard work put in by the Student Council and Cultural Committee made this event an enormous success.
