Open Mic, Sing Your Heart Out Loud

Club Cadenza at Don Bosco College, Panjim, organised an open mic for the members of the music club on 6 October in the oratory conference hall.This session gave students the chance to showcase their talents as well as connect with each other through their shared love for music. Hosted by the FYBAMC Class Representative duo, Sneha Fernandes and Chinmaya Damodlekar,the open mic began at 11:30 am. Shawn Menezes delivered a fantastic opening song. Cyrus Fernandes and Suhani Dodhya mesmerized the audience through their guitar skills and equally beautiful songs. Agnel Faria had an angelic voice. Astrid Ataide engaged the audience through her explosive song. Cultural Secretary, Sarah Cabral sang a song with a harmonious melody and calming tune.
Sweta Sarkar ruled the open mic floor. Sneha Fernandes and Sneha Sharma's voice took the audience on a musical journey . Cainan Noronha's song took control of the audience and made them dance to his tune. Amey Verlecar's amazing melody and voice made the audience request him to sing once more. Russel Fernandes' voice made the audience fall in love. Mehvish Ali and Rhea D'souza made the students groove to their tunes. Yashvardhan Naik's melody impressed everyone. Mario Pimenta sang his original composition with a rap twist at the end. Pearl Fernandes and Melissa Rodrigues' songs got them a prize. Mashaal Shaikh's hard work and efforts for the club as well as his musical talent also got rewarded. The participants also sang a duet in perfect sync.The open mic had a befitting end with a sing-along where everyone sang 'Country Roads' together.

The participants sang songs in English, Konkani as well as Hindi. The open mic was attended by students of the music club. It was melodious and memorable.
