A Walk Through Panjim

The first year students of the department of mass communication took part in a photo walk through Mala-Fontainhas, Panaji. The initiative was organised by the department of mass communication in association with the Literary Committee on 3 October.


Led by assistant professor Archie Fernandes and head of the literary committee, assistant professor Alisha Nicole Carvalho, students began the walk at 8:15 a.m. at Patto Circle Panaji .Passing through Mangroves Boardwalk and Gyan Setu Bridge, they reached Fontainhas. Students then moved through the bylanes of 31 Janiero Road to the steps leading to the Bombay High Court at Altinho.They also visited various religious destinations such as Immaculate Conception Church, Jama Masjid and Mahalaxmi Temple.


The group concluded the photowalk at 12:15 p.m. at Boca Da Vaca Spring.During the duration of the walk, students took photographs of landscapes, architecture and people. They interacted with locals and tourists seeking their permission to use the photographs featuring them.
It was a long yet fulfilling adventure.
