On 19 October 2023, the Ecotiva Club and the Second Year BBA students of Don Bosco College, Panjim organized an E-waste awareness program. The Guest Speaker for it was Mr. Steve Souza from 'Karo Sambhav,' an organization which conducts programs in order to spread awareness about E-Waste and recycling. Mr. Souza began his talk by discussing the different types of E-wastes and how it affects our environment. Through his talk he also informed the students about the various initiatives undertaken by Karo Sambhav such as E-waste collection drives among their distributors, manufacturers, retailers, clients, as well as the doorstep E-waste collection drives. Further, Mr. Souza highlighted how they make sure that the E-Waste is disposed off properly and recycled as much as possible. He concluded the session by urging the students to donate E-Waste to Karo Sambhav. The session was truly enlightening to the eco-lovers as it helped them to gain deeper insight about the topic E-waste and recycling. Not to forget, the session also made the students realize how they themselves can be a small positive channel for a big environmental change.
