Don Bosco College celebrates the 200th Birth Anniversary of Saint Don Bosco

'The school was not the end; it was rather the instrumental means for improving the way of life'

The Life Skills Committee of Don Bosco College organized a poetry competition and a mass in remembrance of the 200th Birth Anniversary of Saint Don Bosco on 31st January 2024. Teaching us not only about his values but also his dream and how it can help us to be a better person in the future.


The theme of the poetry competition was 'The Dream that makes you Dream'. Students enthusiastically participated in the said competition by highlighting their inspirational dreams through their countless rhymes. The winner of the competition was, Ms Falak Fatima a student from second year, mass communication. Upon announcing the winner of the poetry competition, the students assembled in the Don Bosco shrine in order to attend the mass. The mass was celebrated at 11:30am by Fr Joaquim Lobo for all the students along with the faculty members. Where Father preached about the dream of Don Bosco and how our lives should relate to his if we truly believe in ourselves.


This celebration truly brought students to understand the values and morals of Saint Don Bosco and how they can be implemented in our day-to-day lives.
