"It's a journalist's job to be a witness to history." - Robert Fisk

Club Filmatics of Don Bosco College, Panjim organized a journalism workshop by Ms. Praveena Sharma, a respected journalist. It was held on 9 February 2024 at the AV Hall of DBC.
Ms. Sharma talked about the broad field of media. "Journalists are Vultures," breaking the myth, she stated that journalists have to 'steel' their hearts to bring out the truth despite criticism. She shared her experience as a journalist and discussed what qualities a journalist should have. She revealed the uncomfortable truths as well as the ethics of journalism.

During her interaction with the students, Ms. Sharma also stated that Goan journalism is among the best that she has seen due to its activism and talent. She ignited a passion for journalism in the students of DBC and catered to the curious questions of the students with her wit and expertise. At the end of the session, club Filmatics Teacher In charge, Asst. Prof Sonika Lotlikar, gave the resource person, Ms Praveena Sharma a memento as a token of appreciation. The session was attended by 40 members of the club Flimatics.
