Students of Don Bosco College Panjim participated in the National Level Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition, organised by the Don Bosco Higher Education Institutions (DBHEIs) Network in collaboration with the Forum for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship (FiiRE), aimed to foster innovation and creativity among students across India. This initiative provided a platform for students from both science and arts backgrounds to showcase their talent and innovative ideas, promoting interdisciplinary participation and collaboration.
Winners from the institution-level competitions advanced to the regional level. A designated Don Bosco Institution in each region hosted the competition. The selection process was overseen by the national team to ensure fairness and consistency. During this phase each region shortlisted 5-10 ideas, and selected students pitched their ideas online.
The top three ideas from each region in both categories advanced to the national competition. Selected students attended a workshop on September 14, 2024, designed to refine their ideas and enhance their pitching skills. The final competition was held on November 3, 2024, where students presented their innovative concepts to a panel of experts.
The competition recognised talent in the following two categories- Science Background: Ideas related to technology, engineering, health sciences, and environmental initiatives. and Arts/Commerce/Management Background: Ideas showcasing creativity in literature, arts, social sciences, or business.
The winners of the national-level competition were Nathan De Sa and Vaibhav Naik in the Science/Engineering/Technology category, demonstrating exemplary innovation and creativity.
