To commemorate International Yoga Day, Don Bosco College organised an hour-long yoga session for its staff on 21 June, 2021 to take forward the message of mental and physical well-being. The session was led by Asst. Professor Sachin Parsekar along with Asst. Professor Shikha Mishra.

The group engaged in exercises aimed at improving concentration, focus, flexibility and promoting self-healing. After a warm-up and a round of Surya namaskar, the group went on to perform Ustrasana, Adho Mukho Svanasana and other asanas that help establish a sense of equilibrium and lead to a healthier lifestyle.
Given the difficult times everyone is going through, the college felt it was a good idea to give the teaching and non-teaching staff the chance to unwind and rejuvenate through the integration of mind and body.

Yoga as an embodiment of a calm mind and collected body and as the integration of thought and action is beneficial in improving one's mood and in bringing a sense of peace and tranquility to a person, among other benefits.
