An Interclass Chess Tournament, organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Don Bosco College, Panjim, was held on July 5th, 2025, in the college campus. A total of 11 teams participated in the knockout tournament, showcasing their skill and strategic thinking.


SYBAMCJ emerged as the winners, while TYBCOM secured the runner-up position. Vikas Naik was recognized as the Best Male Player, and Bhumika Kuttikar excelled in the female category, winning the Best Female Player award. The tournament demonstrated the participants' exceptional abilities in chess, with SYBAMCJ's victory being a testament to their team's strategy.


The event was held in the presence of Sir Ryan Pereira, Director of Physical Education and Sports, and Ms. Prissie Fernandes, Instructor in Physical Education. The Chief Guest for the closing ceremony was Mr. Alvyn Abranches, Assistant Professor in Computer Application, who added to the event's prestige.
