The Department of Computer Applications, in collaboration with the Don Bosco College Alumni Association (DBCAA), organized a session on 30th October 2025 at Don Bosco College. The theme of the session was “From Idea to Reality: Navigating Startup Challenges.” The speakers for the session were Mr Vishal Jha, Founder of Growworthylife, and Ms Sarah Cabral, Project Manager at Growworthylife.
Mr Vishal Jha spoke about his formative years in the business and explained how his final-year college project eventually led to the creation of his company, Growworthylife. He shared the challenges he faced in the early days of setting up the company, especially the struggle to acquire his first clients. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a friendly work culture and highlighted how team-building exercises have played a crucial role in shaping a positive and healthy work environment within his organization. Drawing from his own leadership journey, he recalled his experiences as the General Secretary of Don Bosco College and advised students on how his involvement in organizing college events prepared him to take on leadership roles in his entrepreneurial journey. He concluded his address by sharing how his company has diversified and expanded over the years, serving a global clientele.


Ms Sarah Cabral also shared her personal experiences, reflecting on her role as Cultural Secretary during her time at Don Bosco College. She explained how her active participation in college events gave her the confidence to deliver effectively in her professional life. She spoke at length about workplace culture and motivated students to embrace challenges without being afraid of failure, reminding them that failure is often an important stepping stone to success.
The session was highly enriching, offering students valuable insights into entrepreneurship, leadership, and the significance of workplace culture. Both speakers stressed the importance of utilizing college experiences to shape one’s career path and highlighted resilience, confidence, and teamwork as key ingredients in building a successful professional journey.
