The Campus Ministry Cell in association with Club Cadenza, the music club of Don Bosco College, Panjim is pleased to announce ‘CELESTIA 2.0’ – Where Young Voices Rise in Divine Praise’, an Inter-collegiate Choir Competition to be held on 22nd September 2026 at 8:30 am, Don Bosco College, Panjim-Goa.

REGISTRATION PROCESS
Colleges interested in participating are requested to confirm their participation by paying a registration fee of Rs. 500 per participating choir group on or before 16th September 2026 to:

Additionally, the participating college must complete the registration process.

On the day of the event, all teams must complete registration after presenting their ID cards between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM. A delay will result in minus points.

The order of participation will be allocated at the time of registration on the event day.

RULES & GUIDELINES
This competition is open to all Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) college students.
Each choir group comprises of 10 participants inclusive of musicians. A college can send a maximum of two choir groups.
Each choir group must present 2 hymns, each in a different language, with one hymn compulsory in Konkani.
Each team will be allotted a maximum of 10 minutes, inclusive of set-up and sound check.
One hymn must be based on the central theme - “ABIDE IN ME”
No singer can be a part of more than one choir group.
Mics and jacks will be provided. Personal musical instruments need to be carried by the participating teams.
Group members must take complete responsibility for their belongings such as phones, instruments, etc. The organizers will not be held responsible for any misplacement or loss.
The registration fee is Rs. 500 per participating choir group and covers refreshments for event participants.
The event schedule will be shared after registration.

JUDGING CRITERIA
Expression & Musical Interpretation – dynamics, phrasing and emotional delivery
Pitch & Intonation – accuracy, including modulations/key changes
Harmony & Vocal Balance – accuracy of parts and balance between sections
Rhythm & Synchronization – timing, entrances, cut-offs and ensemble unity
Clarity & Overall Presentation – clarity of lyrics, pronunciation, costumes, stage presence, hymn choice & relevance to the theme, etc.

Teams will be ranked based on the total scores given by the judges to determine the overall winner of Celestia 2.0. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

All participating teams will receive certificates of participation.
